ASHRAE Year 2009-2010!

It's early February, the holidays are officially over, and I am wondering what happened to January! I trust that you all had joyous, memorable holidays and are looking forward to a prosperous new year. I recently returned from the Society Winter Meeting in Orlando, Florida. If you attended the Winter Meeting, you witnessed all of the hard work and effort the volunteers of ASHRAE put in to promote the arts of the HVAC & R world. As always, the meeting was a success! There was a record attendance despite the difficult financial times that are upon us.

As a region, we had two milestone anniversary celebrations. The Tucson Chapter celebrated their 25th Anniversary and the Hawaii Chapter celebrated their 40th Anniversary. I would like to personally thank the volunteers of both Chapters for their hard work and dedication. Congratulations!

Just a reminder ... our Chapter Regional Conference (CRC) this year will be the start of our annual fall meetings. August 26-28, 2010 will be our upcoming CRC in Reno, Nevada. Candace George and her committee are working hard to ensure a productive and fruitful conference. Look for more details regarding specific locations and registration on our website.

I am looking forward to seeing all of you at the Society Summer Meeting in Albuquerque, New Mexico in June and then again in August in Reno, Nevada!
